The CIIA® is an internationally recognised advanced professional qualification for individuals working in the finance and investment industry.
It is achieved by passing examinations set by international and local experts under the auspices of the Association of Certified International Investment Analysts (ACIIA®).

ACIIA is an international association made up of independent federations and national/regional societies that represent finance and investment analysts.
It was established in 2000 as a non-profit organisation based in Switzerland.

ACIIA currently consists of 23 national/regional societies and 1 federation.

The CIIA is a unique international qualification that:

The CIIA is valuable for professionals working in or planning to enter international finance.
Employers can trust in a CIIA holder’s theoretical and practical expertise in both global and local contexts.

To earn the CIIA, candidates must:
– Pass two levels of Common Knowledge exams
– Pass a national/regional exam
– Have at least one year of relevant work experience
– Be a member of a participating society

There are two components: Common Knowledge exams and a national/regional exam.

Training may be provided or recommended by your national/regional society.

Exams are held twice a year (March and September), and available in 11 languages globally.

The international content is developed by the International Examinations Committee (IEC).
Local exams are set by national/regional societies and approved by the IEC.

The IEC ensures the high academic and professional standards of the CIIA exams, in collaboration with examination centres in Switzerland.

The Swiss Training Centre for Investment Professionals manages multi-language exam delivery with established security protocols.

Societies may offer or recommend training programs for exam preparation.

Candidates in such regions can apply through ACIIA, study online, pass the exams, show relevant work experience, and become an Individual Member of ACIIA.
