I am very excited to have successfully completed the CIIA course in the Blended Learning format! The path to becoming a CIIA was an intense but highly enriching experience for me. The combination of self-study, in-person modules, and challenging exams has advanced me both professionally and personally. I would like to highlight the high quality of the content, the motivating learning atmosphere, and the professional organization. Here is a personal reflection on each course section:

📚 Self-Study – A Successful Start
The first part through self-study was a very good introduction. The videos were technically flawless, and the content was explained clearly and understandably – this supported the learning process optimally.

👥 In-Person Module – Varied and Practical
I especially appreciated the physical course component. The mix of topics and instructors was diverse and offered many practical insights. Here are my impressions summarized:

• Fixed Income – A demanding topic but very well explained.
• Derivatives & ESG – CDS was conveyed understandably; ESG provided initial interesting insights.
• Asset Allocation – Lively, entertaining, with real added value.
• Economics – An engaging lecture, very illustrative.
• Corporate Finance – Solid structure, closely aligned with the script – provides good orientation.
• Options Strategies – Fantastic! Clear, exciting, with mnemonic devices – a highlight!
• Derivatives in Portfolio Management – Well-structured and exam-relevant.
• Asset Liability Management – Very successful, technically convincing.
• Performance Attribution – Well-founded academically, focusing on script content.
• Bond Portfolio Management – Very well prepared and thoughtful – big praise!
• International Macroeconomics – Good, informative introduction to the field.
• Asset Backed & Swaps – Compact, precise, and to the point.
• IFRS & Capital Market-Oriented Analysis – Demanding topic, excellently prepared – hats off!

🤝 Organization & Atmosphere
A special thanks goes to Ms. Rinke-Rohmann for her great commitment and consistently excellent organization — even the break refreshments were highly appreciated!

📝 Exams & Conclusion
The exams were challenging but well-organized and fair. Especially the globally standardized final exam was demanding — making the joy of passing even greater. I am overjoyed to now carry the title of CIIA — and I can wholeheartedly recommend the DVFA Academy.
