Your organisation must operate in a country without an existing ACIIA member society and be ready to champion the Certified International Investment Analyst (CIIA®) programme locally.
How to become an ACIIA Member Society?
The journey is straightforward:
- Enquiry → Send us the eligibility dossier outlined below.
- Review → ACIIA Council screens your documents and may request clarifications.
- Approval → Upon a positive Council vote you sign the Membership Agreement, pay the annual fee, and launch the CIIA in your market.

Your Application Dossier
Submit a comprehensive dossier to the ACIIA Council addressing the following areas:
Professional Activity or Development Plan: Provide evidence that your organisation functions as an active association of investment professionals. Alternatively, submit a structured 3- to 5-year development plan detailing the steps to establish such an association, including a market overview.
CIIA Development Capacity: Demonstrate your organisation’s capability and commitment to delivering the CIIA Examination in full compliance with the rights and obligations stipulated by ACIIA.
Examination Logistics: Provide proof of your ability to organise and administer examinations in alignment with ACIIA’s prescribed schedule and standards.
Governance and Organisational Background: Present a summary of your organisation’s history, including the composition of its governing bodies and profiles of key management personnel.
Statutes and Code of Ethics: Submit your organisation’s bye-laws or statutes in English. If ethical guidelines are not included therein, please attach a separate document outlining your code of ethics.
Membership Category: Specify whether you are applying as a Contracting Member or an Associate Member. The Associate Member category is suited to emerging societies with limited activity and is subject to a reduced fixed annual fee (refer to the table below for details).
