On Wednesday 26th June 2019 the ACIIA Council Meeting/Annual General Meeting will be held in Madrid, Spain upon the kind invitation of the Spanish Association of Financial Analysts (IEAF). On the day before, Tuesday 25th June, the ACIIA Forum will be held, which is open to all ACIIA members to discuss the further strategy of the ACIIA.
The Spanish Association of Financial Analysts (IEAF) will host a dinner for all ACIIA members attending the events.
Upon invitation of the Instituto Argentino de Ejecutivos de Finanzas (IAEF), the ACIIA Council Meeting / Extraordinary General Meeting was held on 29 and 30 November 2018 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Major discussion topics were:
Procedures to introduce new topics to the CIIA Syllabus such as ESG and behavioural finance
Availability of new CIIA e-learning products starting in 2019 (only for ILPIP member societies)
Incorporation of a new ACIIA member society in Russia: National Association of Certified Analysts (NACA)
At the ACIIA Forum held in Luzern on 27 June 2018, Dr. Jesús López Zaballos, EFFAS Chairman and a member of ACIIA Council, made a presentation regarding the impact of MiFID II on investment professionals in Europe.
Upon kind invitation of the Swiss society SFAA, the ACIIA Council Meeting/Annual General Meeting was held on 28 June 2018 at the Hotel des Balances in Luzern.
The discussion at the Meeting focussed on the development strategy of the Association which covers key growth initiatives such as the launching in 2019 of eCIIA which is a digital learning product in English developed by ILPIP, the addition of new topics to the CIIA Syllabus (ESG and Behavioral Finance) and the candidature of new members. Other related topics for discussion were the strategies to enhance the recognition of CIIA through initiatives by ACIIA and member societies including the use of social media.
The Meeting was followed by the SFAA Seminar on “The Sustainability Footprint of Institutional Investors” by Ms. Rajna Gibson, Professor of Finance at the University of Geneva, and a gala dinner hosted by the Swiss society SFAA.
The Forum for ACIIA Members took place on the day before the Council Meeting/Annual General Meeting with the main purpose of promoting a free exchange of ideas among the ACIIA Members.
The next ACIIA Council Meeting will be held on 29 to 30 November 2018 in Buenos Aires, upon kind invitation of the Argentine society IAEF (Instituto Argentino de Ejecutivos de Finanzas).
On Thursday, 28 June 2018 the ACIIA Council Meeting/Annual General Meeting will be held in Luzern, Switzerland upon kindly invitation of the Swiss Financial Analysts Association (SFAA) and followed in the afternoon by the seminar “The Sustainability Footprint of Institutional Investors” by Prof. Rajna Gibson, Deputy Director (Education & External Affairs) at Geneva Finance Research Institute & Professor of Finance at the University of Geneva, Switzerland.
The day prior, Wednesday 27th June, the Forum for ACIIA Members will be hosted in the same venue at Hotel des Balances Luzern
